Got my £10 Amazon voucher though from Dooyoo today. Promptly spent it on a present for my other half - A Gordon Ramsay (she really likes him) cookbook.
Thanks Dooyoo - I get a happy girlfriend with a cookbook full of nice food ideas to try out on me! Result!

Free Rice!
Now the aim of this blog is to see if it is possible to make money online. Whilst that is essentially a selfish endevour, I've stumbled across a brilliant charity site that will help people across the developing world, and cost you nothing but a few seconds of your time.
The website is called freerice.com and is essentially a game where you guess the meaning of various words, and for every one you get right 20 grains of rice are donated to help those who are hungry in the developing world. You can also play quizzes in other subjects, like maths and geography as well! Since the site has been up and running they have donated enough rice to feed 2,000,000 people!
Give it a go!

Dooyoo Update!
Just a quick update to let you know I've cashed out another £10 Amazon voucher from Dooyoo! This is a great website, and I really cannot reccommend it highly enough. I've had £20 of amazon vouchers from Dooyoo now for spending a few hours in total writing reviews of products. Give it a go!
I'm also using a website called youcubez at the moment, and I'll be adding a review of it shortly. So far so good.

Paid to search?
Homepage Friends is another site I have tried in my quest for some easy internet money. It should be a winner - everyone searches for stuff online at least a few times a day, so why not join up for a site that will pay you a couple of pence each time you search?
Homepage friends gives you a unique webpage you can use to do all your searches though, and for each one you do you get paid. I set the webpage as my homepage so it is always there when I need it. They have a toolbar you can use and some other useful stuff on there as well.
The searches are done via Yahoo, so you get good results. You get paid once your account reaches £20, and you can speed things up by referring your friends, and then you get paid a little when they search as well.
I've added a link on the right hand menu if anyone wants to give it a try. The link is my referral link, you don't have to use it - but if you like the blog then I'd appreciate it if you do.
Good luck and happy searching!

Dooyoo?
Dooyoo is another website that I have successfully made money using. It is a community based review site that allows you to write reviews of just about any product or service you can think of. Provided the review is of a minimum length (150 words), you get paid £0.50 per review. You clso earn money when other members read your reviews.
There are some very well written and useful reviews on the website, and I often visit the site and read the reviews before I make decisions on what to purchase.
You can cash out when you have £10, and get paid in amazon vouchers! I used my first £10 to buy a DVD, and am working on my next £10 now.
Give it a go - it's a very good site!

Slice The Pie!
One of the first sites I tried when I started this search for online cash was Slice the Pie (link is on the right of the screen!)
This is a unique website in that it allows everyone to partitipate in the A&R process, and have a say in which bands get to spend £15,000 on recording an album!
When you sign up to scout on the site you start out being a "1-star" scout. One star scouts earn £0.03 for every song they listen to and comment on. Once you have listened to approx 50 songs you get to the next level where you earn £0.05 per song. The maxium level is a "5-star" scout, they recieve £0.15 per song. You can cash out once you reach £5 by paypal, and the money takes a few days to reach your account.
BUT THAT IS NOT ALL!
You can also trade in shares or "contracts" in the bands that have received funding for their album and either buy and sell the contracts to make a profit, or hold on to them to earn royalties from tracks sold!
This a a great website that I would reccoment to anyone who likes listening to original music, and who is looking to earn some easy money online. You will not get rich using just this site, but it is a fun way of earning some stake money to invest in some of the more risky online ventures out there!
Definately give this one a go!

Can you really earn money online? An introduction...
The Internet is full of websites offering you ways of earning "big money in minutes" or "easy bux". Are all of these sites really a scam, or are there in fact genuine ways of making some extra cash, or even enough to live on, from the internet?
I've been trying different approaches and websites now for quite a while, and I've found a few sites where you can legitmately earn some money online (and alot more sites where you at best waste your time, and at worst lose money!)
I started off with a simple idea. I was going to start out with a bankroll or "stake" of about $50 (£30), and apart from that I would only reinvest funds generated online, and see how much money I could make - if any!
I'm a few months into my experiment now, and I'm going to be blogging on my progress from here on in, and adding links to sites that have proved helpful as I go.
